Stethoscope - Male Fertility Diagnosis

Your First Visit

Your Initial Consultation

Your first visit is dedicated to providing you with personal attention and involving you in your own health decisions.  We are truly dedicated to your individual success through the highest quality of medical care in an encouraging atmosphere.

Your comprehensive diagnosis begins with a consultation and includes an extensive review of your medical history.  The review is followed by a respectful and courteous physical examination. This may include some simple and minimally invasive tests. Should advanced testing be helpful, the doctor will recommend additional tests to help you achieve the best possible results.

All through your diagnosis and treatment, you can be certain that Dr. Zeitlin will listen to all of your concerns and provide you with complete answers to all of your questions.

What to Bring:

  • Medical Records
Please gather and bring any previous test results and relevant records. We can request them for you if you don’t have them available..
  • Family Medical History
When possible, discovering the medical problems your biological family members can help to a more accurate diagnosis.
  • Your Partner
For men looking to overcome infertility, we encourage you to bring your partner as both people as fertility is a challenge for the relationship. Having your partner available to understand your condition and be involved in treatment can help you get the support system you need for success. Your consultation is always confidential. No information will be shared to anyone, including your spouse, without your permission.
  • Questions
Your consultation is your opportunity to better understand your sexual and reproductive health.  We encourage you to ask questions so that you can fully understand your conditions and be active in your treatment.

Questions about your First Visit

Why See a Male Fertility Specialist?

Just as you have a ophthalmologist for eye conditions and an orthopedist for sports injuries, you need a urology specialist to get the best possible results for your sexual health.

As you may know from personal experience, most doctors at infertility clinics are gynecologists who are specialists treating women’s conditions not men’s. These clinics are the best choice if the female is the cause of infertility. However, nearly 50% of infertility involves the male.

If you are looking to fulfill your goal of family, you and your partner deserve the most advanced infertility solutions available on both sides of your relationship. Your family doctor is invaluable to your health. However, the most complete expertise in male infertility is exclusive to Urologists who specialize in male sexual health.

What should I bring?

Please bring any relevant test results and medical records you may already have. We can request them for you if you don’t have them available.

How Soon Can I Begin Treatment?

Treatment can begin as soon as soon as we have completed a thorough evaluation and diagnosis. Once this is complete, Dr. Zeitlin will work with you to develop the right solution for individual difficulties. Often treatment can begin on the day of the very first consultation.

Is Surgery Involved in my Treatment?

Every patient requires a personalized assessment and an individualized treatment program to deliver the best possible results.
